How To Auto-Post First Comments
Below are the steps to schedule a first comment to auto-post with your Instagram content in the Multi-Channel Workspace.
How to Auto-Post First Comments to the Multi-Channel Workspace
- Go to your Planoly Web Dashboard or Mobile App
- Switch into the Multi-Channel Workspace
- Click (+) Create → New Post
- Select Instagram and your post type
- Upload your media
- In the toolbar below the caption box, click the speech bubble icon
- The First Comment panel will open — write your comment, add hashtags, or insert a saved Hashtag Group
- When ready, click Schedule Posts or Pick a Time
Please note: The First Comment feature requires auto-post to be enabled. If you're set to Reminder-only, your first comment will not be posted automatically.

Instagram Requirements
- The Instagram Profile must be set to a Business or Creator Profile
- The Facebook Business Page must be authenticated with Planoly to enable this feature
Other First Comment Guidelines
- Character Limit: 2,000 Characters*
- Hashtag Limit: 30 Hashtags
- User Tagging: 10 Users
- Social Networks: Instagram only
- Combined Total Hashtags between Caption and First Comment: 30
