How to Schedule Reminder Notifications and Manually Post Content

If you prefer not to auto-post, you can schedule a reminder to manually post at your chosen date and time. Here’s a step-by-step guide for setting up reminder notifications. Available on all plans using the web dashboard or mobile app.

How to Schedule Reminders For Manual Posting

Multi-channel Workspace

  1. Navigate to your Milti-channel Workspace.
  2. Tap the "Create" button to create a new social media post.
  3. Select the social channels you want to plan the post for by tapping on the correspondin social media icons. 
  4. Upload your content, including images, captions, hashtags, and any other necessary elements.
  5. Select "Reminder Notification" option from the drop-down. Set the date and time for the reminder, ensuring it is at least 5 minutes into the future.
  6. Review your post one final time, then tap "Schedule" to save the reminder.
  7. When the scheduled time arrives, you will receive a notification reminding you to go ahead and manually share the post across your selected social channels.
  8. Tap the notification to open the Planoly app, where you can easily access the pre-built post and share it to your desired platforms. 

 

How to Manually Post From the Mobile App

  1. To manually post, at the scheduled time of your post, you will receive a mobile push notification (as long as you have these turned on via the mobile app) to whichever social channel you choose when scheduling your post. Tap on the notification to open your post details in the Planoly Mobile App.
  2. When you click “Copy & Open”, we will download the media to your device, copy the caption to the clipboard, and open the social media app automatically.
  3. Once in the desired app, initiate creating a post.
  4. Upload the media. It will be the most recent photos and videos added to your phone app.
  5. Paste your caption by double-tapping the caption field. 
  6. Finally, publish your post and come back to the Planoly app, and indicate that your media has been posted!

Step #6 is important to make sure the post is confirmed as posted. After you publish, come back to the Planoly app, and indicate that your media has been posted. If this step is not completed, the post will remain on your Planoly grid as scheduled.
