Step 1: Log In

  1. Go to Planoly.com
  2. Log in with your Planoly email and password.
  3. You'll land on the Calendar, your main planning view.

Your connected social accounts, existing posts, and scheduled content are all already here.

Step 2: Get Familiar with the Layout

The Social Planner has two main areas:

  • Left sidebar — your primary navigation: Calendar, Media Library, Discover, Keywords & Captions, Analytics, Ambassador Program, and Creator Store
  • Main workspace — changes based on what you select in the sidebar

On the Calendar view you'll also see:

  • Instagram Grid preview on the left (your Instagram grid, with Reels and Stories tabs)
  • List/Gallery on the left ( list of all your unscheduled, published, etc. content across all channels )
  • Calendar on the right (switch between Month, Week, or Day view)

Step 3: Select Your Workspace

At the top left, click your Workspace name to switch between Workspaces if you manage multiple brands or accounts. Your connected social channels appear as icons in the top right.

Step 4: Create Your First Post

  1. Click + Create Post at the top of the left panel.
  2. Upload your image or video — drag and drop files directly.
  3. Write your caption in the post preview panel. You can also:
    • Add emojis
    • Tag users with @mentions
    • Add a Creator Store product link
    • Use the AI Caption Writer for suggestions
  4. Choose your posting method: Auto-Post, Reminder, or Manual.
  5. Set your date and time, then click Schedule.

Step 5: Explore Key Features

  • Discover (left sidebar) — Find stock media, hashtags, users, and content templates.
  • Plan Report — Click "Plan Report" next to "All Posts" at the top of the Calendar for a summary of unscheduled and scheduled content.
  • Refresh Grid — Click the refresh icon at the bottom of the grid preview to sync your live Instagram grid.
  • Keywords & Captions (left sidebar) — Manage saved hashtag groups and caption templates.
