How to Link and Auto-Post to LinkedIn

Auto-Posting to LinkedIn is available in our Multi-Channel Workspace on the web dashboard and mobile app.

How to Link to LinkedIn 

  1. Log into your Planoly account on web 
  2. From the account switcher, switch into your Multi-Channel workspace

  3. From the icons at the top, choose LinkedIn and click on the '+'

  4. A pop-up will show up and from there, click on LinkedIn from the bottom

  5. Follow the flow to get linked and make sure the correct account is checked and that all permissions are turned on 
  6. Once you are linked, you should see your LinkedIn account linked at the top

Please Note: When you log into your LinkedIn account, you can link either your Company Page or Personal Page on Planoly! At this time, LinkedIn's API does not support auto-posting to LinkedIn Groups. 


How to Auto-Post to LinkedIn from the Web Dashboard

  1. Log into your account on web
  2. Switch into your Multi-Channel workspace or create a new Multi-Channel workspace if you do not already have one set up
  3. At the top, click on +New Post
  4. Select LinkedIn from the icons at the top and choose which content type you want to upload it as
  5. Create your caption, add hashtags, etc.
  6. Select Auto-Post from the dropdown and schedule the date and time you want this to be auto-posted
  7. Once complete, choose Schedule at the top, and your post will be auto-posted at the scheduled time!

Please Note: LinkedIn auto-post allows for text, up to 20 images, and .mp4 file-type videos. 

How to Auto-Post to LinkedIn from the Mobile App 

  1. Log into your account on the mobile app
  2. Switch into the Multi-Channel workspace
  3. Click on the '+' at the bottom of the screen to add a new post and you will be able to edit your post 
  4. Upload your content and choose LinkedIn from the icons at the top
  5. Create your caption, add hashtags, etc
  6. Select either a date you want to auto-post this or select a date for your reminder notificationIMG_4843
  7. Once complete, choose Schedule at the bottom, and your post will be auto-posted at the scheduled time! 

Please Note: The following are not eligible for LinkedIn auto-posts:

  • Event, Poll, Celebration, etc. type posts

  • Article posts

  • Location or User tagging
