Learn how to accept payments and use Sellit's payment feature- Stripe
1. How will I accept payments?
We partnered with Stripe to provide you an easy and simple way to charge your customers directly. The cost per transaction is 2.9% + 30 cents for using their platform.
2. Does PLANOLY take a percentage of my sales?
Yes. PLANOLY takes a 2% transaction fee for every transaction/sale from your digital storefront.3. Why does PLANOLY take a 2% transaction fee if I am already paying monthly for the feature?
There’s a subscription to use the Stripe platform and the transaction fee is merchant/payment-related fees for PLANOLY to maintain.
4. Can I only use Stripe to accept payments? What about Square, Braintree, PayPal, etc.?
Yes, we currently only support Stripe.
5. What services are restricted through Stripe?

6. How do I issue refunds?
Log into your Stripe dashboard, and from there you will have the ability to issue refunds.
7. Can I set up shipping using Sellit checkout?
Yes, after you connect an existing Stripe account or get approved for one, you will have the ability to set up a shipping fee for your customers. You can set up a domestic and international shipping fee, or leave it as free.
8. Can I set up taxes using the Sellit checkout?
Yes, after you connect an existing Stripe account or you get approved for one, you will have the ability to set up a tax charge. You can select any country and state/province option, as well as pick between sales tax or VAT.
9. Where is Sellit checkout available?
Currently, it's only available in these countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. For countries not listed, Sellit is not yet available.
10. Is there a limit on what I can sell using the Sellit checkout?
You can sell physical products, but there are restrictions. See here for more info.
11. What currencies are Sellit checkout supporting?
You can learn more here. Currency setup in Sellit must match the currency that is set up in your Stripe account. If the currencies do not match, your transaction may be declined.
12. How do I know when something sells?
You will get an email immediately after a successful transaction with information about the transaction, customer information (name, email, shipping/billing address), and order total. You can also go to your Stripe dashboard and look up invoices.
13. Will my customers get a confirmation when they purchase something?
Your customers will receive an email receipt from Stripe displaying order information and your contact information. You can customize this email in your Stripe dashboard.
14. How much does it cost?
It is an add on to each of your Instagram accounts at $29/month or $279/year (intro price of $19/mo for 3 months) If you decide to charge customers using a Sellit checkout, you will be paying 2.9% + 30c per translation, and an additional 2% transaction fee.
15. Is it possible to update currency?
Currency is restricted to the currency of the Stripe account associated with the Sellit account.
